That makes the i3+ a good option for those looking for an entirely automated, hands-free cleaning experience, but aren't afraid of having to empty their dust bin manually when it fills up.
Both robots are adept at picking up surface dirt on hard floors and carpets and can move around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software makes smart maps of your home that aid the i3+ EVO to navigate and clean in a way that maximizes efficiency. However, unlike the i7+ or other top-rated robots that we tested, the i3+ doesn't have a feature for avoiding obstacles and therefore it could get stuck on things like socks or power cords, and may have issues in navigating through transitions between surfaces, such as from hardwood to rug.
iRobot suggests cleaning the area around the i3+ EVO vacuums prior to using it. This includes putting away any toys or other items it might encounter. Also, keep the dustbin and filters free of dirt to prevent them from becoming clogged. If the i3+'s internal bin is empty or the battery is low it returns to the docking station and automatically emptys the dirt into the docking station’s external dustbin. It then continues cleaning where it began. The battery's lifespan is around an hour and a half of continuous usage. It takes three hours to charge.
2. IRobot Roomba i7+
The iRobot i7+ is an excellent model from iRobot's flagship line and is packed with the most recent features. It's self-charging, self-navigating and -- the most important feature of all -- it comes with self-emptying bins that eliminate one of the main sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.
The Roomba I7+ is able to map rooms more efficiently with Imprint Smart Mapping. It also works with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning jobs, and you can control your robot through the app or by voice.
The i7+ is faster and more maneuverable in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also picked up large pet hair pieces from any surface, including carpeting. The main advantage it has over the Eufy is its self-emptying garbage bin that removes major maintenance sources and reduces recurring cost.
We were also awestruck by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We utilized these services to instruct the robot on how to start, stop, or pause cleaning sessions as well as move around the room, and even vacuum a specific area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and straightforward using the iRobot Home app. After being connected, to give voice commands to the i7+, for example "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s settings and monitoring its performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
This tiny Dyson model is an all-sports car that is amidst a sea of vacuums with cords that feel like minivans and buses. It's powerful enough to replace a stand-up vacuum in the majority of homes, but also small enough to fit on a bookcase or coffee table.

The biggest issue with the V10 is its short run time. The claims of its marketing that it has up to 60 minutes of run time are not true, as CR's testing shows. This is a standard, not exceptional, battery-powered cordless vacuum's run time. That's still enough run time to get rid of the majority of a home that's average size, but not quite long enough to clean every spot (though the second time around usually can be effective). This model has its own advantages, however: it's lighter and more maneuverable than older Dysons cordless models, and its vacuuming ability is noticeable superior for carpet floors with low pile.
4. iRobot Roomba 694"
One of iRobot's most adored robot vacuums the 694 is a basic model that's a great option for those who don't wish to spend too much money on a robot. It was able to pick up most types of debris and sizes during our tests, and frequently went over the same area many times to ensure a thorough clean. The flat front of the unit allows to get into corners and along the edges of walls which is a nice feature.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of iAdapt technology to steer clear of obstacles and guide you through your home.
